How about this sweet "laptop"?

This is one sweet laptop from Dell, if you can even call it that. It's more a portable desktop than a laptop. It's one machine that puts all desktop replacement notebooks to shame. This is the Dell XPS M2010. It comes with the following specs:

  • Intel C2D T7200
  • ATi X1800 (256Mb)
  • 20.1" WXGA (1680x1050)
  • 1Gb PC-5300 RAM
  • 160Gb SATA HDD
  • 8X DVD-RW
  • Intel 3945 WiFi
  • Bluetooth mouse + keyboard
This is one sweet machine, all for the cheap price of 1,850 quid! Haha! Kind of sad that it costs so much for such a machine. It would certainly be a conversation piece on any desk. It is something that I can consider getting since I'm graduating soon and will probably not need something too portable as my primary workstation. Oh yes, this should definitely be called a portable workstation instead.

The display resolution is high enough to play HiDef movies but it only comes with a standard DVD drive instead of a BD or HD-DVD drive. It has enough graphics power to play even the most demanding games and enough processing power to handle most tasks that do not require a supercomputing cluster to handle. It's a good desktop replacement desktop.

Hehe, it's nice to dream about what I could buy, if only I could afford it!
