I can't understand some people #2

another thing occured to me today about people here.. a lot of people here are too engrossed with getting a good CV.. well, there's nothing inherently wrong with that.. however, it's wrong when they lose sight of the reason of having a good CV.. when people hire, they hire the person, not the CV.. so, a CV is about stating personal development.. it isn't about scoring points.. however, many people here take it as point scoring... point scoring without real development, it would just show very quickly once they start working.. maybe i'm just idealistic.. or maybe i'm just jaded.. or maybe i'm realistic.. i dunno..

on another note, wasn't very easy to look for information on wormholes (networking kind) on the net.. lots of papers discussing the various merits of WH vs other kinds of networking architecture.. however, not many describing how WH works.. it's one of those things that you're expected to know already.. however, after digging around a bit.. i'm starting to get a grasp of what WH does.. essentially, it's just a very dodgy but fast packet switch architecture.. however, there might be a problem with the input queue of the destination.. the buffer might need to be quite large, which negates the whole idea of using WH in the first place.. the way to solve this might actually be to distribute memory.. ie, have several memory controllers service the memory requests.. it's scary since most of the bottlenecking will occur at the memory controllers..

oooh.. and i've upgraded to beta-blogger today.. can say that it's basically a ajax-ified form of blogger... so, it has a better interface that's all.. doesn't provide much in terms of extra functionality..
