Malaysian Sandiwara Semasa!
Wow. If even half of what Abdul Razak Baginda confessed in court is true, this will turn out to be a very expedient trial indeed. He has pretty much confessed to the charge of abetting a murder. If any of what he claims is true, it certainly casts a very different light on the law enforcement officers in the country. I wonder if he will ever see his day in court or will he be silenced while in lock-up.
Seriously, this has the makings of a grand sandiwara. I certainly hope that his wife/daughter is documenting this whole saga. They could certainly release a book about it and maybe even sell the movie rights to it later. I wonder who will play the lead role. Hopefully, make money off him whatever happens. The story has all the elements. A gruesome murder, an illicit love affair between a rich and powerful man and a beautiful model, political intrigue and a sticky end. Perfect movie material.
I mean, if his story is to be believed, the cops had conspired to kill the lady. He didn't pay them any money to do it. They merely interpreted his words in the best way. Okay, that is perfectly believable. However, it still doesn't answer the question on the C4. How the heck does a cop find C4 in Malaysia? And if cops were truly involved, you would think that they knew how to cover the crime up a little better. Leaving the body in the open like that is just asking to be discovered. Or maybe they are so brazen in their actions that they don't really care. And of course, he had just implicated the DSP and the DPM in his confession. Abdul Razak is certainly going to go down. The question now is whether he'll pull anyone else down along with him.
I think that I'll try to follow this story in the media closely. It's certainly more entertaining than reading about the next silly thing our politicians are up to. There's more suspense here.
