My First Ever Power Dinner

hehe... i had my first ever power dinner today... on the same table was a
viscount, a baroness and probably a baron as well.. i didn't keep track of
the names... but it was an interesting experience nonetheless.. at times, the
conversations were very much out of my league... especially the politics...
but other than that, it was quite cool..

there were many different businessmen from diverse areas of business.. but
they all shared one thing in common.. they were all cambridge engineers..
since it was an alumni thingy afterall... it was cool.. i sat opposite a man
who had business dealings in various parts of the world.. and he's currently
doing business in iran.. some of his stories were interesting.. iran is
actually a very nice place... unlike the picture being painted by lots of
media..

now, i'm starting to understand and see how the 'alumni' network can help you
succeed in life... i'm also starting to see, how you can actually 'work' the
alumni network.. it's not anything easy... it's really 'work'.. but it can be
fairly useful... fairly useful..
