New XPS M1330

Engadget has got the scoop on the latest high-end notebook coming out from Dell soon. The new notebook is the XPS M1330. It is a Santa Rosa based ultra-portable notebook with very impressive features. I'm sure that it will cost a pretty penny as well.

Some highlights:

  • 13.3" LCD with LED backlight.
  • 32Gb Solid State Disk.
  • Weighing only 4 pounds!
This is certainly one sweet machine. It's design is pretty svelte as well. This will possibly be the top-line Dell notebook in the near future. Dell seems to be undergoing a bunch of changes recently. They have taken on Linux as an OS option and they are starting to treat product design as an important factor for their machines.

If all goes well, the two will eventually merge and we will get well designed machines that run Linux, for the great prices that Dell has usually been famous for. However, if the current M1210 is anything to go by, this machine will definitely be out of my near-term budget.
