New M'sian Political Parties Needed??

I've been getting fairly sick with the state of our nation recently.. Things have just gone from, rather okay, to horrendously bad very quickly... I've been reading what the government is saying through official media, and what the opposition party is saying via their blogs... I've even been reading the comments on the blogs... And I find both sides wanting...

Let's first look at our ruling coalition, BN... All their policies and actions serve only to drive the races in Malaysia further apart, and the blatant corruption and squandering of the rakyat's money.. I don't understand how they can assume that the general populace is stupid... Average malaysians are neither stupid nor blind to the recklessness of the government... However, what can the rakyat do?? Vote for the opposition?? Please lar.. The opposition is just as bad... Let's look at the situation on the other side of the fence...

DAP is constantly pushing for a "Malaysian Malaysia"... Which is just as bad.. They're pushing for an equitable distribution of wealth and opportunities to every race... However, it's still a race based agenda under the guise of equality... And seriously, what right have they to call the government on nepotism, when the very same thing is happening on their side of the fence... But, at least the leaders have the ability to hold a proper shouting match in parliament, which is their only saving grace...

PAS tries to push a religious agenda instead... This is just as bad as pushing the race agenda, since, by constitutional definition, a Malay has to also be a Muslim... So, just another race based agenda in the guise of a religious agenda... Some of the things that their religious leaders have said/done in the past, just reflects badly on their (lack of) education/upbringing... They can probably hold their own in an Islamic debate, but once outside of their core area (ie, outside Islam), they don't seem to have any idea of what to say/do...

PKR, is the worst of the lot... It was founded on the notion of "justice and freedom" - for a certain former deputy prime minister... What kind of a platform is that?? Now that he is officially out of prison, the party stands for nothing now... It should seriously be renamed into his political party... Let's be frank about the truth... If we want justice, go to the courts, not to the political parties... It's not a good idea to mix up the whole idea of justice with politics... That's why the judiciary is a separate branch (or at least it's supposed to be) of government...

A friend of mine mentioned, a few days ago, that the old political parties are dead... People are no longer interested in what these traditional parties have to offer... I have to agree with that, personally... None of the political parties in M'sia are fighting for the things that are important to me... Race/religion seem petty in the grander scale of things... Even for the average malaysian, we know what our race/religion is... We do not need to be reminded about it every waking minute of the day... Divide-and-conquer is so Roman... Let's all live in peaceful harmony...

What we need in M'sia is an injection of NextGen political parties... The kind of political parties that fight for *real* issues.. Issues that the traditional parties seem to have abandoned/forgotten: education, healthcare and economy... If you keep your people healthy, provide them with a good education and a vibrant economy, there will naturally be less problems...

I'm voting for the establishment of a new wave of political parties, that focus on anything, other than race/religion... Get rid of all the race based bias and kick all the old farts out of parliament... It's time for Malaysia to grow up and mature as a nation... Goodness knows, we're turning 50...
