Shooting is soooo FUN!

just got back from a full day of shooting!! woo hoo!! shot plenty of rounds of pistol, gallery rifle full bore, and small bore... woooot!!! i think that i did quite well as well... although this was my very first time using a full bore, i managed to sink in two 10s and a bunch of 9s, 8s, and 7s... the recoil was much bigger than the small bore one and was quite fun..


overall, bisley is a very nice place... it's the british NRA hq.. there were lots of people shooting there, and i managed to make a few new friends... our first round was pistol... we had to shoot piston, 2-handed, right-handed, left-handed, and left-handed + standing on one foot + drinking glass of sherry!! now, that was interesting... my right-handed shots landed me a bunch of 10s, which was good.. however, my left-handed shots just went all over the place.. the one legged + alcohol induced shots were obviously off!! ooh, and i beat daniel in this round by a small margin!!


the next round was a bunch of rounds with the full bore.. only 10s were considered positive points... every other point was a negative.. i managed quite a decent score on that one... hehe.. fun.. i had to aim a little high on the rifle though.. but it was fun.. ooh, and i beat daniel again in this round by a WIDE margin!!


then, we got one round of shooting at a moving target with a pistol.. the target would move from 25m to 15m.. within that period (of about 5s), we had to shoot at 5 different targets... so, it was very fun.. daniel beat me slightly in this round..


the next round was small bore.. which included, shooting right-shoulder, left-shoulder, and right-shoulder timed.. the rifle that i used wasn't sighted properly.. all the shots went a little to the right.. so, i had to agak and just aim a little to the left... but i still managed 200+ points on this round.. daniel beat me in this round by a wide margin.. so, at this point, our points were decently close..


after that, i shot full bore again.. but this time, tragedy struck.. the sights on my rifle had gone missing.. and i had to borrow a random rifle that wasn't sighted properly.. on top of that, i missed my sighting shots (while trying to sort out the mess).. and on the actual detail, i had to shoot blind.. essentially, we had the targets turn to face us 5 times.. each time, we would have 3 seconds to aim, and shoot as many shots as we can get off.. i tried to get off 2 shots each time.. due to all the mishaps, i totally missed most of my shots.. daniel trashed me after this round..


so, in the end, daniel trashed me kaukau... (if i had a good rifle, thing's might've been closer).. why did i pick daniel as a competition?? cause i think that he shoots quite well... and also because he said that he HAD to beat me in this competition... that was a challenge!! hehehe.. in the end, daniel got the best cambridge noob shooter prize!! hehe.. so, it was a good day for the both of us..


i think that i'm gonna tell my parents what i'd been doing.. all the shooting that i'd been doing.. i wonder what they'd say.. i wonder if they'd approve.. hehe.. i think they'd just ask me to be careful, and don't do anything crazy.. hehe..
