Shooting is fun!!

hehe... shooting is fun... my rifle + pistol are both getting good... my rifle
started out good, and my pistol is just getting better and better... let's
start with my rifle..

first of all.. this is the first time i'm dealing with LIVE ammo... it's fun
when you get to shoot live ammo... even if it's only a 0.22 bullet.. it's
still fun anyway... the small bore club here is fun.. my groupings are quite
good... i've gotten consistently 4-5 shots in the same hole... so, it's quite
consistent... we're shooting prone here...

then, with the pistol club, i've also gotten the chance to shoot 0.22 light
sporting rifles... very cool... they have scopes on them... so, i can see the
target real big.. however, every little bodily twitch results in a massive
movement of the sights.. so, it's fairly difficult to deliver good shots...

for my first shot, it took me a whole minute to set up... and everyone was
wondering when i was ever going to make the shot... but i hit a bullseye on
that one... then my next 4 sucked, not even close to the 7-mark... but my
final 5 shots, were all within 8/9-mark points... so, i'm fairly good at
rifle!! hehe...

my pistol is another matter though... we're merely shooting air pistols.. so,
the feeling is different.. but it's still fun... and i've been steadily
improving... initially, my shots were all over the target paper... but now,
it's steadily within the 7-mark or better range... it's cool... in my last
20+ shots, almost all 20+ of them landed on the black part of the target..

that's my first target with the pistol... once i can land consistent shots
within the black part of the target, it's just a matter of slowly improving
it to hit on the 8-mark, 9-mark and bullseye!!! hehehe... oooh, i'm trying
out for the varsity team this saturday... fun fun fun!!!

i wonder what my family will say when they find out that i've been doing
shooting... and what they'll say when they find out that i've been shooting
LIVE rounds... and i've been buying REAL bullets to shoot with!!! hehe... i'm
even thinking of buying a gun now... a real one... and bringing it around
with me... i might do that if i get any good at it...
