Torrenza!!

hmm.. interesting development today.. AMD has announced the availability of
their torrenza technology, which basically allows 3rd party chips to be
inserted into a slot next to the CPU..

this opens interesting possibilities for the current chip that i'm working
on.. i should probably investigate the use of the torrenza chip.. anyway, i
was planning to use something like HTX as my internal chip network.. maybe
now, i can just extend it to the external socket..

this is interesting.. fairly interesting.. okay, time to dig out the HTX specs
and read it!!

also, about the progress of my phd work.. things are falling in place nicely..
i've always been a fan of top-down design.. and my design level has reached
down to the unit level... so, things are pretty much done, although i am
about a month behind schedule.. hehe..
